Film for Freedom
Bringing the unheard voices of Syrian refugee women to the media as citizen journalists.
This feminist and collaborative media project brought together the often underrepresented voices of Syrian refugee women living in Lebanon. As citizen journalists, these ten participants learned the fundamentals of film making through a series of workshops where they were encouraged to share their own stories, in their own voices.
Their ten short films were screened in Toronto, at Todmorden Mills museum in June 2022
