Mona
“My husband keeps saying that I am the master of the house now. He tells the kids that they need to ask me for money if they need something, as I am the breadwinner. With the money I earn, I pay the rent and for the children’s schooling.”
This wonderful woman is Mona, a refugee herself and our coordinator in Lebanon. She left her home as bombs were falling like rain, but has found strength and friendship through Sabbara. She has learned knitting and embroidery and is now a master artisan and proud provider. Our Mona cushion is named after her. Mona, we salute you.
