This Bedouin cushion was lovingly hand-stitched with quality cotton threads by Syrian women artisans.

The Design

The geometry of the designs offer a contemplative focus and celebrates traditional islamic art historically seen in the most beautiful sacred buildings of Syria. All of our patterns pay homage to ancient Syrian tradition.

The Impact

All profit from sales is used to employ more women and to continue Sabbara’s work on female empowerment. Sabbara was established inside Syria in 2012 in response to the escalating war and it’s devastating consequences for families all over the country. Its aim is to train women in traditional skills, create a sustainable infrastructure for production, and develop an international market .

This cushion is made to order. It will take between 4 to 6 weeks.
