The Design
This a reinterpretation of an antique ottoman design. The ottomans were in Syria for 400 years and their aesthetics and designs still have a huge influence in Syrian culture
The Impact
Sabbara was established inside Syria in 2012 in response to the escalating war and its devastating consequences for families all over the country. Its aim is to train women in traditional skills, create a sustainable infrastructure for production, and develop an international market .
